THE MOVE

Well the time has come...exactly one week til we leave for our new home in D.C. It will be a crazy week packing up while in the middle of finals! But we can do it...And we will be driving now thanks to our dogs flat little faces that aren't allowed to fly in cargo in the summer months. But we've never driven cross country so it will be an adventure im sure. I don't think ill be posting til we get settled out there so here we come dc! We will miss all of you guys, our family and friends sooo much!! See ya in September!

2 YeArS

Two wonderful years have gone by since our wedding day. We have been so many awesome places and done so much amazing stuff. Im so grateful for my perfect husband who takes care of me and does anything for me. IM THE LUCKIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD! ~Happy Anniversary Love~

~BiRtHdAy WeEkEnD~

So all my waiting paid off BIG time!! For my birthday Christian restored a 1930's vanity!! It is gorgeous!! The handles and mirror are all antique, they are the originals it came with!! He put so much time and effort into it i just started crying when he finally revealed it. Ill have to put some more pics but you can see how amazing the wood grain is, it is just perfect. It was in real bad shape when he got it, and he did wonders to it, im so glad he is so talented in that way.

Also i think i should share some of the background for his amazing gift. In my family there are 4 girls. We have 2 antique vanities past down, one from my moms side, and one from my dads. Well you can imagine the claiming and fighting that has gone on trying to get ahold of one of the pieces. SO after Chris hearing the drama decided to get me my own!! He is so adorable he even said he can see our little girls getting ready in front of it. Im so glad to have such an amazing gift to keep in our own little family. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH CHRISTIAN.

I CANNOT wait for saturday! It is my birthday! But the biggest reason i can't wait is to see what Chris has made me for it! Yes made! He has made it a tradition to build me something for my birthday, i tell you these gifts are the best, they mean soooo much to me!! My first birthday together he made me the mirror window (below). He found old windows, refinished and painted them and then knocked out the glass and put in mirrors, this is my favorite decoration in my whole house!!! I love them. Then last year after hearing months of complaining about jewlery strewn about the house, he built me this jewlery holder, from scratch! It is perfect, fits all my rings, bracelets, and necklaces--Im in love with it. He is soo thoughtful, this year he has been spending an awful lot of time at his parents and whenever i call there are power tools going off haha so im dying to know what he's making!!! But im being a good girl and not spying or getting it out of anyone!...Yet :)

Well obviously i have been married a while, but when Kristen a great new photographer asked if she could take some bridal pics of me for her portfolio i couldn't resist! I mean who really gets an excuse to put their wedding dress back on, it was freeeezing but sooo sooo much fun here are a few. She is so talented and totally loves what she does, we had a great time.
